Make a chat video inside a 3D phone
A 3D phone chat video combines an animated conversation with a rendered phone on a stage. Glance Studio lets you adjust the phone’s angle, scale, materials and motion. Flat mode keeps the chat without the device.
What the 3D scene adds
A device frame gives the conversation a physical setting. It can help a product demonstration feel composed, or let a short story move from a wide introduction to a close-up of the decisive reply. The message should still be the easiest thing to read.
Start near front-on, with enough space around the device for the background and platform interface. A steep tilt may look striking as a still but leave several lines unreadable during playback.
Design one deliberate camera change
Choose one point in the script where emphasis is useful. Preview a modest movement there and leave the rest of the conversation relatively steady. If the eye keeps following the frame, it is not following the words.
Test the longest message and the largest attachment at the chosen angle. A framing decision that works for a one-word reply can fail for a photo or a longer sentence.
Choose 3D or flat for the job
Use 3D when the device itself contributes to the presentation. Use flat chat when maximum text size, dense dialogue or a simple visual style matters more. Neither format is inherently better for engagement.
Glance is a scripted chat-video workflow. A dedicated mockup tool can be a better fit for a scene built around many different device models or an existing product recording. Check the supported scene and export options before planning that project.
Finish with a readability pass
Review the exported MP4 on a small screen. Check the beginning, the longest message, the main camera move and the ending. Slow down the rhythm if reading requires pausing the video.
Keep a copy of the editable project so you can revise the angle or timing without rebuilding the conversation.
