Create a product demo told as a chat

A chat-style product demo uses a question and answer to introduce a real feature. Glance Studio can animate the exchange, show a photo or video inside the messages, and expand media fullscreen when the demonstration needs more space.

Glance Studio product presentation: a fictional sample conversation shown on iPhone, iPhone Duo and iPad. Development build; the downloadable version may differ.

Choose one question and one visible answer

Begin with a problem a viewer can understand in a sentence. “Where do I change the background?” is easier to demonstrate than “How do I improve my content?” The conversation supplies context; the recording supplies evidence.

Keep the script honest about who is speaking. Fictional dialogue is a presentation device, not a real review, support transcript or customer endorsement.

Capture only the action that matters

Record a short, readable demonstration using non-sensitive sample data. Start close to the relevant control and stop after the result is visible. Avoid including passwords, notifications or private customer information.

Insert the recording at the point where the answer is needed. Use fullscreen playback if the product controls would otherwise be too small within the chat bubble.

Build a short narrative around the clip

A useful sequence is question, brief explanation, demonstration, confirmation. Give the viewer enough time to see the action before the next reply appears. If the recording needs extensive explanation, split the idea into separate videos.

Use camera motion to frame the conversation, not to hide the demonstration. Check that the text and controls remain readable throughout the exported video.

Review the claim and the file

Verify that the feature works in the version viewers can download. If you are showing an upcoming version, label it clearly instead of presenting it as already available.

End with one next step, such as viewing the feature page or trying the app. Watch the final MP4 with and without sound, and check it in the destination platform’s preview before publishing.
